Spot Color: On press jobs, specific colors of ink are loaded in the press to add color to a printed piece.

4-Color Process: Magenta, cyan, yellow and black inks are screened and combined to create a complete spectrum of color. CESD prints spot color and can outsource 4-color process.

Bleed: Oversize images printed on larger stock than finished piece. Excess is trimmed to form a page on which the image runs to the cut edge.

Collate: Printed pages put into desired sequence.

Drill: Hole punch 1, 2, or 3 holes.

Padding: Bound with a padding compound, one edge of a stack of sheets on a cardboard base sheet.

NCR Glue: Individual NCR forms are bound into sets. Sets may be padded after gluing, if desired.

Stack: Printed pieces are copied and stacked only. No collating, stapling, or other bindery.

Trim: Items are cut to finished size, such as multiple images on a single page to maximize stock usage.

Electronic File (E-file): Original document from computer file. Saved as created in the original software or as a PDF.

PDF file (Adobe Acrobat compatible): Document saved or exported as a PDF is considered universal and is no longer editable.
